Every book helps more children read.

Little Olive Books is a collaboration between The 1 and Only Publishing and Pour It Out For Good, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit started in 2022 by a four-generation veteran family. Its mission is to preserve what we fought to protect, God-given freedom, by teaching our children well.

Through Pour It Out For Good's National Literacy Campaign, Little Olive titles are shared with schools, base libraries, military family programs, churches and ministries. Every title carries both emblems, a sign that the book is wholesome, vetted by people who care about children, and can be trusted.

Jenny Ingels, founder of Pour It Out For Good, serves as the Little Olive Books ambassador. A portion of each qualifying Little Olive Books sale is donated to the campaign.

Before you begin

Which path is right for me?

If your illustrations are finished, choose Bring Your Illustrations. If you want to learn to create your book with guidance and community, join the Children's Book Creation & Publishing Experience. If you need an illustrator, we'll illustrate your book for you.

Will you change my illustrations?

No. If you bring final illustrations, we place them into your page layout without redrawing, editing or altering them.

Do I keep my copyright?

Yes. You own the copyright to your story.

Where will my book be sold?

We set up distribution through Amazon KDP and IngramSpark, so readers, schools and bookstores can order your book.

How does my book support literacy?

A portion of each qualifying Little Olive Books sale is donated to Pour It Out For Good, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, in support of its National Literacy Campaign.

What does the Little Olive emblem mean?

It tells parents, teachers and churches that the book is worth reading. Every title is vetted by people who care about children: no surprise words, pictures or negative undertones.

Will my book be shared with schools?

Little Olive titles are added to the National Literacy Campaign catalog and introduced to schools, base libraries, military family programs, churches and ministries. We can't promise placements or sales, but your book will be in front of the people who serve children.

Is marketing included?

Marketing isn't included in the package price. Launch and marketing support is available as an add-on through The 1 and Only Agency.

How much does it cost?

Bring Your Illustrations starts at $1,900. The Children's Book Creation & Publishing Experience starts at $3,250. We Illustrate It For You starts at $4,250 for a standard 24-page book with up to 17 illustrations. Final pricing depends on your book's length, size and illustration count.
